A ONE OF A KIND STORY (OR TWO)
ONE OF A KIND TRIBUTES...
IF YOU PAUSE TO FEEL
THAT GRATEFUL FEELING...
(These may feel oddly familiar)
Her name is Jane, and she helped me name myself.
Her name is Lucy, and she gave my thoughts loam to grow in.
Her name is Stephanie, and she saw my value when I needed reminding.
Her name is Kristina, and she gave me tools to build myself.
Her name is Cassie, and she took time for me.
Her name is Mary, and she taught me to read.
And I was forever changed.
There are one of a kind women in your life. Stands to reason. At least half of the people you’ve ever met have been women, and odds are better than average that some of the important lessons you’ve learned happened in the half of your life spent in the company of women.
We would love hearing stories about the one of a kind women in your lives.
Tell us the stories of your one of a kind mothers—teachers—bosses—sisters—sisters without biology—frenemies, even. These people formed us, these maidens, mothers, crones—these warriors, huntresses, and healers.
Let’s celebrate them.
